Final Reflection
Throughout this elective course, I learned to use various software in Multimedia. Primary software that we used were Publisher, Power Point, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Google SketchUp. Each of these software present different kind of purpose that assisted in our project. Through Publisher, it is a simple software that allow us to create different template and format to achieve our objective such as helping us generate a Business Card Format or a Brochure Format. By using Power Point, it allow us to update our assignment summary and also create a presentation. Out of all the software that we have experienced, we were primarily focused on creating project through Adobe Photoshop which is a software that help organize, edit, and publish our image/project. In addition we also uses Adobe illustrator to create vector images and design image by using various tool such as pathfinder and creating shape. Lastly we incorporated the usage of Google SketchUp that is a 3D modeling program in which we can create 3D image of specific objects in our construction and architectural assignment. For future success, I believe Google SketchUp is my personal favorite that will help me in Architectural and Engineering career.

26: Showcase Day 2
For this next step we start designing the spot light by creating an oval ellipse on the ceiling and edit the layer setting. We then create another smaller oval ellipse inside the bigger ellipse and adjust a different setting. After that is done we start creating the light by selecting the “Elliptical Marquee Tool” (M) and make a selection on the floor directly beneath the light and filter with guassian blur. Before we move on to the light we create another similar one on the wall. For the spotlight
26: Showcase Day 1
We create the layout of the showcase room by primarily using the “Rectangular Marquee Tool” (M) and the Ruler tool to create the different dimension of the room. Also to create the depth of the room we go to “Edit > Transform > Perspective.” After we finish the layout we then got to each of the layer and start editing the setting. Save As .PSD & JPG

For this task, we'll be creating a Glowing Button by using Adobe PhotoShop. To get started we first create a grayish black background in our canvas. Then we use the ellipse tool to draw a circle that will be our button and start editing the layer style. Next we create the smaller circle by pressing (Ctrl + T) for the “Free Transform Tool”, select one of the corner anchor points then hold down (Shift + Alt). Drag downwards resizing the ellipse. Once we got our size we right-click the layer and go to “Clear Layer Styles” and start re-editing the new setting. Afterward we select the Rectangular Marquee Tool” (M) then make a selection around the canvas and fill the selection with the color black. With that done we add a noise filter the black rectangle by going to “Filter > Noise > Add Noise”. Forward on we deselect the selection (Ctrl + D) then set the layer blend mode to “Screen”. After creating the body of the button we finally start creating the power symbol by downloading our desired image and open it in Photoshop and start editing it layer. Finishing the Glow button we go to the animation panel “Window > Animation and start adjusting for the animation. Save As .PSD & GIF

20: Wireless Phone

As of this Adobe Illustration assignment we learned how to create an Phone by combining and/or take away different shapes as well as additional tool, effect, and menu button. To begin we first mainly focus on creating the body of the phone with a rectangular shape and with the rectangular shape we transform it into a round rectangle by Going to Effect > Stylize > Round Corners and set the Radius. Straight after that we could go to Object > Expand Appearance and fill the shape with the desire color. To Minimize the copy we select the rounded rectangle and go to Object > Path > Offset Path and set the Offset. With that done we then start filling in the gradient for the shape. To create the function buttons we begin using the Pathfinders: the Minus Front to subtract certain shape from the compound(Subtract Circle above the rectangle) and also the Divide tool to delete the surplus shape. Additionally we start making the round menu button and the number key pad. For the Round Menu button we created a Gradient Ring with black 50px by 50px circle with the Ellipse tool (L), then copy the circle using Control + C followed by Control + F, turn off the Fill Color, and apply a 1px Stroke. With the shape still selected we could go to Object > Expand and fill with Linear Gradient color. Furthermore after creating the first number key we could Duplicate it or make copy of it by first group the shape we create to make the number key, then select the group and go to Effect > Distort & Transform > Transform and enter the setting for number of Copies, Moves: Horizontal Pixel, and Vertical Pixel. Lastly we start creating the Speaker and the mic for our Phone. To give the illusion of a depressed speaker we created Gradient Mesh to redefine the topography of the OVAL. Then we create a Round Rectangle shape for the mic of the phone.

19A: Draw out your last name in Illustrator --- 19b: learn about Minus Front and Divide in Pathfinder

Pathfinder effects let you combine multiple objects using one of ten interaction modes. This include operating the Minus Front which the selected shapes, takes the bottom-most shape (in your Layers) and subtracts all other selected shapes from it and also the Divide tool to separates the selected shapes into parts, which take on the overlapping color.
By utilizing the use of Pathfinder in this Adobe Illustration Task we were able to draw out our last name with Various Shape in many ways to get our resulted letter. Save As .AI, .PDF, & JPEG
18: Adobe Illustrator - USB drive
In this assignment we create a USB Drive through Adobe Illustration. We first make the body of the USB by creating a Rectangle and a Oval, then have them united through Pathfinder. With that done we start filling in the gradient color. In the next step we start building the tip of the USB by creating 3 Square of similar Size then place them on the right position by clicking Horizontal Align Center and Vertical Align Center. Lastly at the finishing steps we start designing the center of the USB drive by first creating a round rectangular shape. After that we go to Object > Path > Offset Path to create a smaller copy of the shape above it and we can start adding in the gradient and text.

14a & b Displacement
For this task we
are going to create a painted effect look to our selfie by overlaying an image distorted with
a Displacement Map. First we open up a Flag that we selected from google, in this case i used the US Flag. Then we can start changing blending mode to hard light, desaturate it, and filter with Gaussian Blur. For the next part we require the use of Displace filter. The Displace filter is one of several Photoshop filters that require the use of a displacement map, which works like a texture map, placing the image over a grid that creates a textured look. So by using this filter we can place the flag texture over our selfie to create a dramatic effect to our image. Save As .PSD & .JPG

15: Motion Blur via Smart filters
By applying the usage of Smart filter we create a Motion Blur Image through Photoshop. Instead of Using normal Filter we use Smart Filter that help offer adjustment without compromising any pixel Data. It further allow us to add other filter on top of it and without much hardship we can remove and hide Smart Filter and continue editing the setting to achieve different result. For this Task, before we use a smart filter, we open up a Moving object with an background and apply motion blur filter. With that done we then can use the smart filter and the brush to erase the blur on the moving object to make it seen like the object is in motion.

16: Quick Masking to add a desire effect
In this Adobe Photoshop Assignment we apply the use of Quick Mask to assist with our work. Quick Mask is a mode to
convert a selection to a temporary mask for easier editing. Instead of using
the marquees or lasso tool that is harder to make selection of part of the area
you want, Quick Mask allow you to edit only part of the picture. In this case we only select the teeth area of the subject to apply a digital tooth whitening process.

12: Adding Texture via Layers
In Photoshop our task are to learn how to texture with layer modes by using clipping masks to constrain the visibility of one layer to that of the layer beneath. In a clipping mask, the bottom most layer acts as a mask for the layers above it. We first find a favorable suit of our liking and open it up in Adobe Photoshop. Then we have to separate the jacket from the figure and make a new layer out of it. To do that we have to select the jacket and use the magnetic lasso tool. After we have carve out the jacket we find a texture you want and open it. With that done, we then move the texture in the image you are working on and place the texture over the top of the Jacket and make sure that it covers the jacket. And lastly we clip the layer and choose a layer mode for the texture which in my case I used Exclusion.
